Stew Leonard's Now Offers Same-Day Grocery Delivery

One hundred years ago, Stew Leonard Jr.'s grandfather delivered fresh milk from Norwalk’s Clover Farms dairy to his customers. Now, the family-owned company has returned to its roots, albeit with a 2017 touch.

The grocery store chain, with locations in Danbury, Norwalk and Yonkers, has partnered with Instacart, the technology-driven, nationwide on-demand grocery delivery service.

Starting Wednesday, Nov. 1, same-day grocery delivery service became available to 365,000 households within a 20- to 30-minute drive of Stew Leonard’s stores.

The service is currently now available in towns in Fairfield surrounding the Danbury and Norwalk locations and in zip codes surrounding the Yonkers location.

Customers can visit stewleonards.com/freshdelivery or download the Instacart app and enter their zip code to determine if they are within the Stew Leonard’s delivery area. Once signed in, shoppers can fill their virtual carts with all their farm fresh favorites including cut to order meat, fresh baked cookies and bagels, handmade mozzarella, fruits and vegetables, and gourmet selections from Mrs. Leonard’s prepared food case.

At check out, customers choose a delivery window within one hour, two hours, or up to seven days in advance. Once the order is placed and accepted, items are hand-picked by Instacart’s shoppers and delivered.

Customers who sign up for Stew’s Fresh Delivery by Feb. 1, 2018 using code stewsexpress will have free delivery on orders over $35 for up to a year.
